V1 Spam Score
Spam Score [Archive of V1 Endpoints]
This guide outlines the endpoints for now archived Mozscape API endpoints. The new Moz Links API endpoints are available here:
The Spam Score that you’ll see through Link Explorer and the Links section of your Campaign is quite a bit different than the Spam Score you may have used before. Instead of seeing the number of flags (1-18) you'll see a percentage number. This is the percentage of sites with similar features to the site(s) you're checking that have been penalized by Google.
Find out more about Spam Score on our Link Explorer Guide.
The Spam Score you see in the API is still represented by 1-18 flag system. This is because we're serving Spam Score in the Moz Links API via a translation layer. This means that when you call the subdomain Spam Score it returns the translated Spam Score % as a 1 to 18 value.
Spam Score (fspsc)
When you call the subdomain Spam Score, it returns a Spam Score from 1 to 18. This is translated from our new index which translates the percentage Spam Score to the 1-18 Spam Score format.
URL Metrics: Call the Subdomain Spam Score (bit 67108864) to get the Spam Score metric.
Link Metrics: The Link Metrics call has a new sort: spam_score, and a new Spam Score metric (bit 32).
Will the API update for the 0 to 100 range happen later?
We are working to have the Spam Score available through the API on a 0-100 % scale and hope to have this available soon, although we don’t yet have a solid timeframe for when this will be available.

Yes! Amazing! Yes! It was what I needed. Meh. It wasn’t really what I was looking for. No, it wasn’t helpful at all.
