When comparing base plans, review Your Current Usage- excess usage will be marked in red. You will then need to archive Campaigns or delete keywords that exceed the limits of your new plan before you can downgrade.

What's Covered?

This guide will walk through how to change the subscription level for your Moz Pro Base Plan.

Upgrade or Downgrade Moz Pro Base Plan Subscription

You can upgrade or downgrade your Moz Pro paid subscription, and change from paying monthly to paying annually from within your account. Changing your plan will start a new billing cycle and your subscription will renew on this date every month going forward. If you pay via manual invoice please read our manual invoicing guide.

If you need to modify your subscription:

  1. Click on Account & Billing from the profile icon drop-down menu
  2. From the Subscriptions page select View and compare base plan details
  3. Use the slider to choose your desired plan and payment schedule (monthly or annual)
  4. Click Update plan
The view and compare base plan details option is available just below your subscription details. Click it to see available plans and update your plan.
Use the slider to select your new plan and then click Update Plan to move forward.

An annual plan will save you 20% off the monthly rate. When you choose to subscribe annually, your billing date will change to the date of the upgrade and the full annual cost will be charged at that point.

Keep in mind that these changes will start a new billing cycle from the upgrade date and will apply any amount overpaid as a credit to your account. This credit will then be applied to a future invoice on your account.

After you choose the subscription level you want and click Update Plan, you’ll be presented with a breakdown of the change in price, your new billing cycle, and the prorated charge amount. If all of this looks good to go, just click the Confirm changes button, and you’re done!

Once you've confirmed the details of your new plan, click confirm changes to finish your subscription update.

Plan updates go into effect immediately and the new limits will be available right away within your account.

Updating Your Billing Cadence

You have the ability to change how often you are billed for Moz Pro from within your Account & Billing section. To change between monthly and yearly billing, or vice versa, you can follow the steps outlined below.

  1. After logging into your moz.com account, head to your Account & Billing section via the drop-down on the top right

  2. Within your Subscription Summary click View and compare base plan details

  3. Under Billing Cycle select the billing cadence you’d like to update your plan to

  4. Click Update Plan

  5. Confirm your changes
