Troubleshooting Steps for Fixing MozBar Issues

MozBar works with the latest version of the Chrome browser. Most issues typically involve conflicting extensions, plugins, or settings on your browser.

If you can't log in to MozBar, and it keeps asking you to log in, this is often caused by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

You can tell if cookies are enabled by checking for the little symbol in the address bar. Here are the steps:

  1. Head to moz.com in Chrome
  2. Check for the cookie symbol with a little red cross on the right-hand side
  3. Click on the cookie icon
  4. Select Manage cookie blocking
  5. Then make sure [*.]moz.com is allowed
  6. Restart your browser
  7. Log back into your Moz account
  8. Activate MozBar from your browser toolbar on the top right
MozBar Allow Third Party Cookies

If you're still having problems, you may want to clear your browser's cache and cookies, as well. After it's all cleared out, try restarting the browser again and then logging in.

It can take a few clicks to log in. Click on the blue "Log in" link, and it opens up a new tab each time. Repeat until you're logged in.

General Troubleshooting Steps for MozBar

  • Make sure you are not in incognito mode
  • Disable/un-install all other extensions, leaving just Mozbar to isolate
  • Re-install Chrome
  • Check to see if the address bar is hiding the extension icon
  • Disable any software firewall or security apps
