If you’re having trouble with the tools or are wondering if Moz has any scheduled maintenance planned, this information will be noted in this section of Help Hub for easy access and reference.

What to Expect During Scheduled Maintenance

On occasion, Moz will have product and data maintenance windows scheduled. While we expect the impact to be minimal, you may experience service disruptions including, but not limited to, less than optimal load times and limited access to features and functionality.

These maintenance events will have differing levels of impact to tool functionality and while we’ve attempted to limit customer impact with scheduling and timing, there may be exceptions.

Whenever we have a maintenance window scheduled, we’ll:

  • Display a banner 24 hours beforehand letting you know which areas of the site or product may be impacted - including date, time, and a link to learn more.
  • Update the banner during and following the maintenance window to inform you of the status.
  • Update the Maintenance & Outages page informing you when maintenance begins.

Most scheduled maintenance activities will complete within 24 hours. If we have to roll back or delay, we will update the Maintenance & Outages page to reflect the changes.

Common Customer Queries

  • Scheduled maintenance is a planned activity which lets our engineering team deliver required releases to specific functionality and/or the Moz platform. Releases can include feature upgrades, fixes, new features, and/or other software fine-tuning.
  • An outage is typically an unplanned event which causes disruption to functionality in the Moz platform. When an outage occurs, all hands are on deck; rest assured we are working as quickly as we can to return functionality back to a normal working state.
  • If and when there is an unscheduled outage with the tools, this will be noted as an outage on our Maintenance & Outages page.
  • Our Maintenance & Outages page will note which tools and services are affected with any details regarding the specific impact and behavior.
  • If you are still experiencing issues please try logging out, clearing the cache and cookies for your browser, and then logging back in. If this does not resolve the issue please contact our Help Team.
  • We do not expect tools not listed to be affected, but if you experience issues please contact our Help Team with the details of the issue for further investigation.
