  • No, all locations purchased in a single transaction must be under the same subscription plan.
  • No, if you need to purchase multiple locations for different countries, each country would need to be purchased in its own transaction. For example, you may purchase 2 locations in the United States in one transaction however 2 locations in the US must be purchased in a separate transaction from 2 locations in Canada.
  • After purchasing your Moz Local subscriptions you will need to head to each location’s profile and complete the additional fields. We highly recommend adding a primary phone number, category, website and business hours to your profile right away as some directories will not create a listing without this information included. For more details, please see our Profile guide.
  • After initial purchase, a location will go through various steps prior to being published with directories. For new locations, please allow around 4 weeks for location data to process. For locations which you have updated, please allow around 2-3 weeks for those to process with directories. You can read more about the publishing process here.
  • No, the CSV is meant to be used for the initial purchase of new Moz Local subscriptions. It cannot be used to update existing location data or to change subscription levels of previously purchased locations.
  • Yes. When you purchase your locations you will be required to enter a business address for each. After the purchase of your locations is complete, you will need to head to the location Profile and check the box marked I don’t serve customers at my location address. With this option selected your business address won’t be sent from us to our partner directories. However, please keep in mind that this option changes the directories that we support for your location. If a directory already has a business address for your SAB location it won’t be removed by selecting this option, you will need to reach out to them directly to have your address removed or hidden.   • All Moz Local locations are set to auto-renew by default. If you purchased your Moz Local subscription during a limited time promotion it will renew at the standard price noted on the Moz Local pricing page. Overview of Purchasing Multiple Locations

Moz Local is a location-based service, which means that you must purchase a subscription for any location you wish to manage through the tool. You can manage multiple locations within the same dashboard and login, but each one will need to have its own subscription.

With the bulk purchase option in Moz Local, you have the ability to purchase multiple locations in one transaction.

Bulk purchase is available as long as you are planning to purchase the same level plan for every location in the transaction and all the locations are within the same country. If you need to purchase locations in different countries or at different plan levels, those will need to be purchased in separate transactions.

Purchase Process Checklist

When purchasing multiple locations in Moz Local, the following steps will need to be taken in order to successfully complete the process.

  1. Confirm the country for your locations (All locations within the same transaction must be within the same country)

  2. Select your billing cadence - Monthly or Yearly using the drop-down

  3. Select your Moz Local plan level (All locations within the same transaction must be the same plan level)

  4. Download the CSV template provided, enter your location details, and upload the CSV

  5. Confirm your location details were uploaded correctly and proceed with the purchase process to complete your transaction

  6. Once the transaction is complete and your locations are created, access the Moz Local Dashboard and add your remaining location data to start the sync process. Location creation within your Moz Local Dashboard may take up 5-10 minutes to complete.

Please note: Locations will not begin to sync with all directories until the primary category and phone number are entered via the location’s Profile in Moz Local. In order for the location setup process to be considered finished, step 5 must be completed.

Getting Started with the Purchase Process

When purchasing Moz Local locations you have two options for getting started:

  1. Check Presence — Enter your business name, address (street number and name,) and postal code, and click on the Check Now button to see a percentage breakdown for your online presence. Click on the Improve with Moz local button to start the purchase process.

  2. Add Location— This option is only available if you are already managing a Moz Local location. Enter your business information and click Continue to start the purchase process.

The Check Presence Tool can be found via the Moz Local drop-down on the stop right.

Purchasing Multiple Locations at Once

After starting the purchase process via the Check Presence tool or the Add Location button within your account, you will have the option to Buy multiple locations via the link at the bottom of the page.

To purchase locations in bulk:

  1. From the Select your Moz Local Subscription page, confirm/select the Country for your location via the drop-down (Reminder: All locations within a single transaction must be within the same country)
  2. Select your billing cadence - Monthly or Yearly using the drop-down
  3. Select the plan level you’d like to purchase for all locations within this transaction (Reminder: All locations within a single transaction must be purchased at the same plan level)
  4. Click Buy multiple locations

  1. Download CSV template
  2. Input your location data into the CSV and either drag and drop it into the box provided or click to upload
  3. Click Continue

  1. Click the arrow to the right of the location count to confirm the locations being purchased

  2. Confirm the total charge for today (Please note: Moz Local subscriptions are annual renewals - your cost per year will be noted.)

  3. Enter your payment information (Please note: If you are logged into an account with payment details saved, the checkout screen will populate with that information automatically)

  4. Accept the Terms of use via the check box provided

  5. Click Continue

After clicking Continue you will be asked to review your purchase one last time. Click the arrow beside the location count to review the locations you’re purchasing and the charge for today. You can then click Purchase to complete the transaction.

If you decide that you would like to select a different plan for your locations, click Edit plans. Keep in mind that this will reset all your selections and you will need to restart the purchase process.

CSV Template

When purchasing locations in bulk, a CSV upload is required and must follow the format outlined below.

The CSV template includes the data outlined below.

Column A: Business name

Column B: Business address line 1

Column C: Business address line 2 (If the business does not have an address line 2, leave this cell blank but do not remove the column from the CSV)

Column D: City

Column E: Postal code

Column F: State or Province

Column G: Country (2 letter country designation, e.g, US, UK, or CA)

I’m receiving a “Please fix these errors” message when trying to purchase

If you’re receiving an error when attempting to purchase via bulk upload, this indicates that there is something misformatted in your CSV which is inhibiting our ability to properly parse the file. Within the tool, you should see a red error message that notes what the specific issue is and for which line of the CSV.

The errors noted in-app will specify which CSV row needs to be fixed along with the specific data error.

To resolve the issue, please update the CSV to account for error messages and then re-upload the new file to continue the purchase process.

Next Steps After Purchase

Once you have purchased your new Moz Local locations via bulk upload, you will need to make sure your location Profiles are as complete as possible.

The following fields, at minimum, must be filled out in order to ensure submission to all directories:

  • Business Name
  • Business Address
  • Primary Phone
  • Website
  • Business Hours
  • Primary Category
