Moz Procedures

This is the place to nerd out over the inner workings of the Moz tools and come to grips with the SEO terminology we use throughout the tool.

To gather the data you need for your Campaign reporting, we crawl your site with rogerbot. You'll see this in the Site Crawl and Page Optimization sections of your Moz Pro Campaign.

We also crawl the world wide web with dotbot. This data is available through the Links section of your campaign, Link Explorer, and the Moz Links API. This data is used to calculate our authority metrics, Page Authority and Domain Authority.

Want to understand the difference between follow and nofollow links? We've got the Moz Glossaries to get you quick answers that will break down and simplify the SEO jargon.
