In an effort to make SEO accessible to everyone, Moz Academy offers a variety of courses to help you further expand your SEO knowledge. Whether you’re just starting to learn or you’re a seasoned SEO professional, we have a course for you! With offerings like SEO Fundamentals to Selling the Value of SEO, there really is something for everyone.

How is Moz Academy different from the other learning resources Moz offers?

Moz offers a variety of resources to help you develop your knowledge of SEO. With Moz Academy, you can enroll in instructor-led courses targeting specific SEO concepts, theories, and methodologies. Each course is broken down into smaller, accessible sections, allowing you to tailor your learning experience to your individual schedule and style. Want to complete the whole course in one sitting? Go for it! Prefer to fit a section in between meetings? That works too! The formatting of these courses allows you to be your own guide on your knowledge journey. We’ll even keep track of where you are in your course completion so you’re able to jump in and out as needed. Many courses also include hands-on activities to practice the methods discussed, quizzes to assess what you’ve learned, and further resources to continue your learning.

As Moz Academy guides you through a topic, you’ll learn from the ground up. We’ll take you through a journey of theory, application, framework, and strategy. After completing a Moz Academy course, you’ll have a solid comprehension of the SEO topic covered and will be able to take that awareness out into the world. Moz Academy courses not only provide knowledge you can apply to your own SEO strategies right away, but also the building blocks to further your overall comprehension of SEO.

Do I need a Moz Pro subscription to take the courses?

No, a Moz Pro subscription is not required to take any of the Moz Academy courses. Although we do use Moz tools within the courses, you will learn important concepts and theories that are independent from the tools and can be applied outside of Moz Pro. If you’d like to use the Moz Pro tools to apply your knowledge from the courses, we do offer a free trial of the tools allowing you to test out what you learned!

  • We sure do! We currently offer the Moz SEO Essentials Certification Series and the Technical SEO Certification Series. Be sure to check out our SEO Certifications page to learn more.
  • Promo codes are case sensitive. Please ensure you are entering the code exactly as seen in your email and/or messaging. We also have more information about this in our billing issues guide.
  • We have a guide all about the SEO Essentials Certification and how to add your LinkedIn badge to help.
  • No, you do not. Please see above for more information.
  • Currently the only course we offer a certificate of completion for is the SEO Essentials Certification Series. However, once a course is completed, you will be able to see this information within your account.
  • For now training is offered only in English. As the program grows we will be on the lookout for ways to ensure they're available for anyone who wants them — be that in other languages, with closed captioning, or otherwise.
  • Although a Moz paid subscription is not required to take the courses, we do require that you have a Moz Community account.
  • Course access for the Moz Academy is for 1 year from the date of purchase, excluding promotions. If you use a promo code or promo access link, your access may differ.
