Cancel Your Moz Pro Base Plan or Free Trial

To cancel renewal on your Moz Pro paid plan or Moz Pro free trial, please follow these steps:

  1. From the Subscriptions page select Cancel Plan

  2. Fill in the survey (this will help us identify in the future where we can improve) Please note: Your subscription is not cancelled until the completion of step 4

  3. Click Next

  4. Click Yes, confirm cancellation

  5. Click Return to your subscription page

We recommend changing these settings at least 1 day prior to renewal.

After you cancel renewal you won't be charged in future, however you will retain access to the rest of the free trial or the period already paid for.

The cancel plan button is located on the subscription summary page just below your plan details.
Be sure to fill out the survey provided to continue with cancellation.
Once the survey is completed, confirm your cancellation on the next page.
After cancellation is complete, you can return to the subscriptions page with the link provided.

Campaign Data After Cancellation

Your Campaigns will be archived when your subscription expires, which means no new data will be collected. We keep your data for 12 update cycles. For weekly updates that would be 12 weeks, and 12 months for monthly data.

We'll store your historical ranking data and link data forever. After cancellation you won't be able to access your reports, so it's best to export your data and reports before you cancel your plan. In order to regain access to your Campaign data you need to reactivate your subscription and restore your archived Campaigns.

When to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel renewal for your subscription at any time through your account however cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date to ensure you are not charged for the following billing period.

Cancellation always takes effect on the next renewal date so you'll retain access to the paid tools and data for the rest of your free trial, or the period paid for.

You can confirm your renewal date in the subscriptions section of your account.

I cancelled my account - why has Moz charged my card?

Cancellations must be made at least 1 day prior to the renewal date in order to ensure a charge is not made to your card. If you cancel your subscription on the date of your renewal, a charge may occur.

If you did not intend your subscription to renew, please email help@moz.com with the following information so we can locate the charge:

  • Full name on the credit card charged
  • Last 4 digits of the credit card charged
  • Date of the charge
  • Amount of the charge

Your Free Moz Community Account

Once your paid plan expires your account will be reverted to a free Moz Community account. You can use your free Community account to access the limited versions of our free tools and search our Q&A forum for SEO help.

Community Account vs Paid Account Access

Once your paid plan expires your account will be reverted to a free Moz Community account and your tool access will change.

Undo Your Cancellation

If you cancel your Moz Pro subscription and change your mind prior to the end of your billing period, you can undo that cancellation from the Subscriptions page of your account.

Within your subscriptions page you can undo your cancellation prior to the end of your billing period.
  1. Click the circle icon on the top right

  2. Select Account & Billing

  3. Be sure you’re in the Subscriptions view

  4. Click Undo the cancellation below your plan details

This will reactivate automatic renewal for your Moz Pro subscription.
