Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re seeing that you are registered for a course but aren’t able to access it, this indicates that your access has expired. You will need to repurchase the course in order to regain access to the material.
  • Course access for the Moz Academy is for 1 year from the date of purchase, excluding promotions. If you use a promo code or promo access link, your access may differ.

Accessing Moz Academy

There are a few ways to access the Moz Academy and your courses. The first would be to head to https://academy.moz.com/ directly. The second would be via the Resources menu on moz.com. From here you can select SEO Training and click browse the full course catalog.

The SEO Training option is located in the Resources menu.

Additionally, if you’ve already registered for courses within the Moz Academy, you can access them via the Your Account menu on the top right of moz.com. Click the circle icon (this should be the photo you uploaded for your Community profile or the initials of your account name) and then Moz Academy. This will take you right to the Moz Academy homepage where you can login and access your courses.

If you are registered for courses with the Moz Academy you can access them via the account drop-down.

Navigating Moz Academy

Within the Moz Academy you have the ability to filter and sort the available courses by Difficulty and SEO Topic to find courses that are right for you. There is also an option to search by keyword on the top right.

Within Moz Academy you can search and filter for courses that will fit your goals.

Courses which you are enrolled in will be designated with either a Registered or Complete tag in the upper right corner of the course tile within the catalog.

Registered - Indicates you are enrolled in the course but have not completed the coursework associated with it

Complete - Indicates you have completed the lessons for this course

Courses you are registered for will be marked with flags on the top right corner.

Within each course you’ll have the option to view videos and task lessons. Lessons you’ve completed will be marked with a check mark while lessons still waiting to be completed will be marked with an empty circle. If you’ve stepped away from a course or lesson before completing it, click Resume at the top of the screen to pick up where you left off.

Click Resume to pick up where you left off in a course.

Why am I unable to access the videos for a course I am registered for?

If you’re seeing that you are registered for a course but aren’t able to access it and/or are being asked to repurchase, this indicates that your access has expired. Access to most courses is good for one year from the date of purchase. The exception to this would be courses registered for during the Free Training (wegotthis) promotion in 2020. Course access for registrations during that promotion ended on September 25th, 2020.

If you had previously registered for or completed a course in Moz Academy, this will be noted with a flag in the upper right corner of the course tile with the catalog, regardless of the current registration status. This means you will see that you are registered for a course even if your access is expired. In order to access that coursework again, you will need to repurchase (or re-register) for access.
