Linking Domain vs Domain authority : Do they related!!!? (Case study)

Hi everyone
I just came across a website which I'm working on. As we know DA & PA directly related to each other. I'm building organic links through last year and the result is so odd !
As you see in Pic 1, number of linking domains is naturally increasing. But in Pic 2 DA gets negative impact through this process and decreases!
How are they related anyway? Can anyone helps?

The two are related, but it may be that the new links you are building are from less authoritative pages, so aren't making any meaningful impact to your DA. Meanwhile some of your older links may be lost over time, causing your overall DA to reduce.

@serikozay Have you checked metrics tools for lost links?
It's possible you might be placing links where they don't belong and they are getting deleted.Can you please provide more information.
What type of links
Where are you placing these links
Are they being naturally obtained or are you manually building them.
Have you checked if they are being changed from dofollow to nofollow?

@serikozay In my point of view, they relate with each other.
Increasing Domain Authority requires the website to increase the number of linking domains and the total number of backlinks. The more domains and total links directed at the website from quality websites, the more likely your domain authority will increase.It's not all about quantity, it's all about quality backlinks under the same niche .
Your domain authority is a reflection of your backlink profile. So, if you want to influence your domain authority or domain rating, you’ll need to start link building from high Domain Authority websites. While some brands may be able to generate press and build these links organically, some will need to utilize guest posting to build their backlink profile.

Hello, I had a good look at the related site.
You can see that there are many redirect urls.
You can see that backlinks increased significantly around September 28, 2021. You can see that da also increased after December 2021.
Could the increase in da be due to inbound links coming from spam-free domains?

For reference, after July 2021, I have not worked on the link myself at all.

Hi fellow Mozzers... I've been asked to increase organic search (SEO) traffic to a news/magazine style website. All the website consists of is regular news articles within a specific niche. It is also already listed on Google News. I know we can improve any on-page tactics, such as optimising the article webpages, internal linking, improving the navigation and adding breadcrumbs etc. But what about off-page? They want us to work on backlinks to the site, which we can do for the homepage to improve the domain authority. But there's no point on increasing backlinks to the individual news articles, as they have a very short life span, and are not evergreen. Perhaps it's a good idea to increase backlinks to the category pages? But there are no real keyword opportunites on these pages. Unsolved Links to my website are wrong
Hi, I have launch a new website, lorraine on october of 2021 and I have added it to a bunch a local and national directories to improme it local rankings. But when I get the domain authority and link data from MOZ it has only ten links and no one of them is from local/national directories. I have three questions: Do you know if it is normal that after 9 months DA is 1? Is there any problem with local/national directory links? I dont like buy links like others do but it seems the only way to improve domain authority and rankings.

How To Encourage Google To Discover Links?
I got a valuable backlink from a high authority website (MSN), but the link is placed in the middle of a slideshow with 20 pictures, and the only way to reach it is by clicking through the slideshow. After 6 months, this link still hasn't been noticed by Moz or Semrush, and I assume Google hasn't seen it either, because it's in the middle of a slideshow. Is there any way to encourage Google to find this link? Or am I all out of luck?

Linking root domains to your own site
I have been using the moz open site explorer tool and glancing at my competition. I noticed most sites if not all in the linking domains section have a link to there own site. How do i do this? On my site i have no established links and my score is only 1/1. Even with lower ranking sites that have there own site linking to there self have a 16/16. Any help would be appreciated I am pretty new to all of this. thanks

Ecomerce: Would 4 link sections leak too much link juice?
Hello, In my content management for our ecomerce site, I've found that there are sometimes links to sites in our industry that have "helpful links" sections. Several strong sites link directly to these resource sections. There are 4 different topics that fit this trend in our industry. Would it leak too much link juice to make 4 comprehensive link sections and place a link to them on our "Useful Articles" page? Or should I stick to one comprehensive link section? Or perhaps a small link section? Or none at all? Thanks.

Greetings! Actually, got an doubt on linking to external site. The thing, i have working for roof marketers site. They have covered roof products. Each of the products have a page along with major keyword. Actually, i do link from other pages[internally]. Meaning,if i see any main keywords in different page then will link that to corresponding page/product[internally].This is what i am doing to get page rank. Now, my doubt. Some of the pages are having link with main keywords which directs to the third party site those who are really producing the products. But, i remove the third party-link which has with main keywords. Since already the site/my client site having pages for that main keywords. But client really want that link. meaning the links which they have given to direct to third party[product producer] site. So what should i do at this case. Can i just past RAW link like [http://www.thirdpartysite.com] or what do i do. But my client wants that link to be in content area.
