I have a domain for my UAE based project called https://mydubaiseo.com/ and however, one of my colleagues suggested going with .ae option.
Whether if we change the domain like as suggested get earlier results than .com domain or what?\Which domain .com or .ae ranks faster in UAE location if the SEO strategies followed in the same way?

@melissabrown I think it's up to the natives which domain extension they prefer. Personally, a country where English is not the main language: I still prefer .COM.

Great question! Country code top level domains are the single strongest way to show search engines and users that site content is specifically targeted to a certain country or region! So, if you are targeting potential customers in the UAE, and know that you will continue to focus on this country, using the .ae TLD is a great way to do that! It will signal to Google that your website's content is highly relevant to an audience in this country. Here's a great resource on country code top level domains.

However, there are some initial challenges with changing a domain name, especially if you've already built up an audience and backlinks. You may initially see a drop in rankings and traffic, but this is usually temporary. If you do plan on changing the TLD, I would recommend doing this sooner than later! Here's a great guide on how to properly move domains.

            Hope this helps!

@0eup-ombitao TLD - Top level domain is to help sites e.g. you might find you go to a .co.uk for UK sites etc. its not essential to ranks though, if lots of links are related to the source material you'll find you can rank regardless. The biggest reason I would swap is your users, are they used to going to .com domains or .ae domains which do they trust more? Just remember Google wants to give users what it thinks is the best result for a search not which TLD is most related to the country 😉

                Rankings preferring English URL

seo rankings ranking factors url issue

We've recently had a redesign of our website and we have both a Dutch and an English version. However, in MOZ for both NL and BE-NL it seems to favor the English URLs. This never used to be the case and I'm wondering why it's happening and whether it could actually be hurting our SEO, as search engines would favor local languages for search queries.

Unsolved How much influence does Domain Authority have on the terms I can rank for?

                domain authority

I've been performing keyword research and have discovered a few beauties. My site now has a domain authority of 18, up from 12, which is fantastic to see. However, I was wondering if, with a domain authority of 18, I could compete with keywords with a difficulty of 50-60?

                Unsolved GMB Local SEO question

                seo audit

I am trying to diagnose how one particular competitor is smoking us in local rankings. I came across a text field “Service Details' within Google My Business Services. This allows me to put in a brief description of each service we offer. My thought is that this could be a good place for keywords. That said, the descriptions are not public facing (or to the best of my knowledge) so I am reluctant to do all the work for nothing. I am wondering if anyone has filled these out and if there were any noticeable results. Any insight is appreciated

How to de-index a page with a search string with the structure domain.com/?"spam"

The site in question was hacked years ago. All the security scans come up clean but the seo crawlers like semrush and ahrefs still show it as an indexed page. I can even click through on it and it takes me to the homepage with no 301. Where is the page and how to deindex it? domain/com/?spam There are multiple instances of this. http://www.clipular.com/c/5579083284217856.png?k=Q173VG9pkRrxBl0b5prNqIozPZI

                Acquired domains for SEO

hi there, For one of our insurance websites we acquired a domain, this domain is going to be redirected to our domain. After some research we discovered the domain we've bought also includes other domains which 301 redirect to specific 'insurance products'. These domains are also included in the deal. But what is the best technical solution for redirecting these specific redirected product domains? They already redirect to the product pages of the domain we've bought, so after redirect this domain, the sub (product) redirected domains will also link to us. It would be like this: A) www.sub-carinsurancesite.nl (301) -> www.domain-we-bought.com/car-insurance -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance
                B) www.sub-carinsurancesite.nl (301) -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance & www.domain-we-bought.com/car-insurance -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance etc

                Trailing Slashes and SEO

Hi, We're currently using a third party blog platform (Blog Engine) on our site and we have a trailing slash issue. I can add as many trailing slashes as I want to the blog's homepage URL, but they don't redirect and our dev guys say this cannot be done with Blog Engine. We're in the process of building our own blog but, in the meantime, I just wanted to know if this will cause an issue? Individual blog posts with trailing slashes are redirected, it's just the homepage where it can't be done. I haven't noticed any traffic going to a blog URL with trailing slashes, and I don't believe any URLs with trailing slashes are being indexed, so should this be OK? Cheers, Lewis
