I have url A with a canonical to URL B. How is the behavior of the backlinks profile on url A? If some put a backlink to url A count as a backlink for url B?

Somebody embedded a link to one of my websites on the sidebar of her blog.  It ends up hundreds of links from this blog.  Will this type of links be considered unnatural links by Google?  Here is the url of the blog. http://chordsandmore.blogspot.com/ To find the link to my site, please search "yoke wong". Hello, I have a quick question for the MOZ readers about my companies current backlink audit. We've noticed many of the backlinks that the Google Webmaster Tool has found come from websites that are no longer in existence or have error messages. Are these websites counting negatively against us or should we ignore them? Thanks! Alex Rubin

Recently, I listed our site on a few directory's which I deemed as not spammy and had good domain authority (competitors were using these). This was about 2 weeks ago and have not seen them come up as a backlink using open site explorer? I was wondering whether i'm missing something out here or does it take longer than 2 weeks to gain a backlink from a website? Thanks in advance.
