Hello I've been using moz for a while, using the tools to try and best optimize our pages, I'm curious to see if we're missing anything blatant or if you have any little tips. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Here is one of our most popular pages:
      https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/jaguar/e-type.html

      Cheers.

        Hi Stephedwa

It looks like you're doing fine with the basics, so it'd take a lot more familiarity with your site to make decent suggestions.

As with the other example in this thread, I can only suggest the first few things I notice when glancing at the page.

And similarly, this page seems to go after what I guess are a few different intents:

        • Jet Ski Hire prices - a price list / FAQ style intent
        • Jet Ski Hire - an intent to hire a jet ski
        • Jet Ski Experience - an intent to have more of a guided / supported experience, perhaps for someone who has never driven a jet ski before

Even the title mixes and matches on these, it's likely that dedicated content for each intent would do better and feel less keyword stuffed.

          Hey Tom!
That is the one I was looking for, so I am asking here instead of making a new post.

I have been using MOZ for some time but still, need to become more familiar with some of its tools. Can you Please look at one of the best-designed pages of our site: https://playhardjetskihire.com.au/jetski-hire/ and suggest other steps to make it more user-friendly and optimized.

That's a nice site, and those are beautiful cars!

Two main ideas come to mind for me looking at this page - and they're both ideas, not recommendations. You should test, cautiously.

The first is that your sitewide navigation is fairly light. You say this is one of your most popular pages, but there is no sitewide link. Perhaps a small drop-down top-nav would help?

The second is that this page seems to muddle intents - it's a commercial page, sellng E-type tyres. But it also contains a wealth of information, written in verbose prose. Above the fold on my laptop, I can't even see that it's possible to browse tyres on this page. Whilst I understand the need to have some copy and information on commercial pages so they don't end up too thin, perhaps you could consider splitting it out - on the commercial page, feature the most specific and pertinent information to a buyer, in easily digested form. On a separate "E-type tyre buying guide" page, feature the more elaborate information. As I say - just an idea.

I also notice what I think is an attempt to occasionally use American spellings (tire) - I think Google sees through this kind of thing these days, and your buyers will expect to see a consistent spelling.

Should I split long form content?

              seo tactics content development optimization

I have quite a long content on my site. By length I mean around 8000-9000 words. I optimized it to cover almost all searches related to a topic. But this length makes me uneasy for some reason. I do not think that users will find what they are looking for in such a long content. However, I don't want to neglect the SEO aspect of the content. I can talk about something like this without sharing the keywords completely: Title + for girls Title + for boys Title + for kids Title + for girlfriend Title + for boyfriend Title + for students As I said, in the current situation, these are all sub-headings (H2) of 8000-9000-word content. When I make a separate content for each of them, I can bring them all closer to 1500-2000 words. However, I am undecided whether this is the right step in terms of SEO and content optimization. What are your views?

Clever Way To Increase Organic Search Traffic To News/Magazine Websites

newsseo magazine link building seo tactics

Hi fellow Mozzers... I've been asked to increase organic search (SEO) traffic to a news/magazine style website. All the website consists of is regular news articles within a specific niche. It is also already listed on Google News. I know we can improve any on-page tactics, such as optimising the article webpages, internal linking, improving the navigation and adding breadcrumbs etc. But what about off-page? They want us to work on backlinks to the site, which we can do for the homepage to improve the domain authority. But there's no point on increasing backlinks to the individual news articles, as they have a very short life span, and are not evergreen. Perhaps it's a good idea to increase backlinks to the category pages? But there are no real keyword opportunites on these pages. Can anyone recommend a clever SEO strategy to increase SEO traffic to a news style website? The site can be found at https://tinyurl.com/2p9arrwz Best wishes. Many thanks for any replies in advance 🙂 Lee.

How to best handle search landing pages - that don't exist

seo seo page treatment search page categorization

I have quite a bit of blog information that can be searched, which results in "pages" that don't actually live anywhere. These are scanned by Moz and appear as poor page quality for speed, etc. How do I get the service to either ignore all of these or is there a way to treat them as a real page with content? As there are quite a few generated over time, I'd like to be able to capture them somehow. Thanks.

Google Search Console - Excluded Pages and Multiple Properties

google search console google penalty google indexation crawl errors

I have used Moz to identify keywords that are ideal for my website and then I optimized different pages for those keywords, but unfortunately rankings for some of the pages have declined. Since I am working with an ecommerce site, I read that having a lot of Excluded pages on the Google Search Console was to be expected so I initially ignored them. However, some of the pages I was trying to optimize are listed there, especially under the 'Crawled - currently not indexed' and the 'Discovered - currently not indexed' sections. I have read this page (link: https://moz.com/blog/crawled-currently-not-indexed-coverage-status ) and plan on focusing on Steps 5 & 7, but wanted to ask if anyone else has had experience with these issues. Also, does anyone know if having multiple properties (https vs http, www vs no www) can negatively affect a site? For example, could a sitemap from one property overwrite another? Would removing one property from the Console have any negative impact on the site? I plan on asking these questions on a Google forum, but I wanted to add it to this post in case anyone here had any insights. Thank you very much for your time,
              Forest

How to Incorporate Awkward Keyword Phrases

              seo tactics keywords

Certain keywords are good choices for my website (high CTR, low difficulty, high volume), but they would be very awkward to use in my website content. For example, "therapist near me" is a popular search term, but it would be very strange for me to use those words in that order in my content (I am a therapist). Any thoughts about this are welcome.

              Unsolved GMB Local SEO question

              seo audit

I am trying to diagnose how one particular competitor is smoking us in local rankings. I came across a text field “Service Details' within Google My Business Services. This allows me to put in a brief description of each service we offer. My thought is that this could be a good place for keywords. That said, the descriptions are not public facing (or to the best of my knowledge) so I am reluctant to do all the work for nothing. I am wondering if anyone has filled these out and if there were any noticeable results. Any insight is appreciated
