I am particularly new to the field of SEO and Backlinking and I have recently started my own blog feel free to have a look (https://thehorseradar.com/).

What I wanted to find out is how can I achieve a DA of at least 30.

What should be my link-building strategy? & what steps should I take first?

With an abundance of overwhelming info available online I have gotten really confused about what would work and what would not.

If someone would lay out the steps needed to be taken, I would be extremely grateful!

      Thank You

              Sorry for the slow reply.

You can definitely obtain relevant traffic from sites like these, but links are likely to be nofollow.

                @haris313 said in Backlinking Strategy:

What should be my link-building strategy?

Link building is the process of acquiring links from other websites to your own website, with the goal of improving your search engine rankings and driving traffic to your site. However, it's important to note that not all links are created equal, and the quality of the links you acquire can have a significant impact on your website's performance.

Using a tool like https://rush-analytics.com/land/backlinks-spam can be helpful for identifying and analyzing links to your website, but it's important to use this tool as part of a comprehensive link-building strategy, rather than relying on it as the sole source of information.

Here are a few strategies you might consider as part of a link-building campaign:

Publish high-quality, informative content that other websites will want to link to.

Reach out to other websites and ask for links, but be sure to provide value in return (such as linking to their content from your own site).

Participate in relevant online communities and forums, and provide valuable insights and resources that others will want to link to.

Use social media to promote your content and encourage others to share your links.

Monitor your backlinks using the tool and actively work to remove any spammy or low-quality links pointing to your website.

It's important to approach link building with a long-term perspective, as it can take time and effort to build a strong, diverse link profile. However, by following best practices and focusing on creating high-quality content and relationships, you can develop a link-building strategy that will help drive traffic and improve your website's search engine performance.

                    I have read your advice.
I take this opportunity to consult you:
Do you think that sites like reedit, quora or forums like that can send some relevant traffic to blogs in Spanish?
A few months ago I started https://mundocm.net/telefonos-servicio-al-cliente-falabella/ and I'm having a hard time finding relevant sites to ask for a link.
Sometimes, what is more difficult is to find relevant sites from the country where the blog's theme is aimed.
If you have any suggestions, it would be appreciated.

It's certainly possible to attain a DA 30. My recommendation is find similar sites in your niche that have at/around DA 30 and dig into their backlink profile, see how many backlinks and what number DA's associated. After you've done your research, come up with a strategy similar to that. It's the exact method I'm using for a domain like: [https://ruffrug.com](link url)

@irau creating longer form articles with illustrations or graphics is a really good suggestion. Thank you so much for it. I'll have to manage it by myself one way or the other until I build a good reliable team of my own.

@haris313 Certain backlinks can shoot your DA right up to 45, which a solid score, but doesn't guarantee valuable traffic by any means.

I recommend creating longer form articles with illustrations or graphics to make reading them more dynamic.

This can be very time consuming for just one person, so it helps to have another team member assisting with developing topics, proof reading and helping with graphics.

In some ways, aiming for a specific DA is probably not the right approach. DA is a useful metrc for predicting how well a site might rank against another, all things being equal, but there's a lot of nuance to what might help you succeed for a given query.

That said, for newer sites, some links are certainly helpful. There's no one way to go about it.

I'd suggest for a new blog, start by producing some resources you feel others might find useful, entertaining, or otherwise remarkable. Then, find ways to get these in front of people who might consider linking to you from their own sites - perhaps share the resources with your social media followers, email journalists from relevant publications, or engage with platforms like Reddit or forums.

spam score site evaluate link building link explorer

                                Hi,
There is a question in my website. When I'm searching the number of spam score of my site, it shows "--".
In the official article it shows that the reason of "--" happens is that our site has not been evaluated by Moz. But there aren't any ways of solutions, seems that we can only wait - not knowing how long - for being evaluated.
Is there any way that I can get my site evaluated by Moz, and the spam score of my website can be displayed as an exact number?
                                Thanks for answering in advance!

Is it a good practice to get link for your original page by shorter URL links

                                link building backlinks

Hello Moz Community, I have a question regarding getting links on bitly, tiny, or an other url shortner, Is it a good practice to get link for your page by shorter url I mean lets suppose i am getting natural guest post link from content for my blog home page
https://coupontoaster.com/blog/ ; and shorten it with bitly and then hyper link so is it a good practice am I getting the same power and SEO consideration as if i would have done this without url shortener. And what anchor texts shall i be using like rich anchor text or any other like click here, visit here, bitly or etc Please kindly help me with this thanks

                                Backlink Transparency with SEO Agency

Hello everyone. I recently started working with an SEO agency and today they gave me an updated keyword report which showed some increase in rankings. I was not aware that any backlinks had been created yet so I asked for a report of the links. Their response is below and I am just wondering if this is normal practice being I have not worked with any type of SEO agency yet. "
Hey Daniel, We release a small report on them which the guest blog team will do soon. We don't reveal all backlink sources unfortunately because people have tried to bother the webmasters we have and basically steal our techniques. But rest assured you will be ranking at the top of the pack with our methods 😃
                                "

Is it better to have backlinks from domains with medium DA, UR, using same language and good relevancy, or backlinks from domains with high DA, UR but using another language and with less relevancy?

Dear all, while I understand that quality backlinks with high DA, UR, same-language and relevancy would be best, would backlinks with high DA, UR but less relevancy and using languages other than the one used in my website be something good? Or would they do more harm than anything else and still be outcompeted by backlinks with lower DA, UR but same language and/or more relevancy? Thank you Frank

                                Homepage vs specific page Backlink

Hello, I have a local business and have been working on getting backlinks for highly relevant keywords. I have keyword optimized pages (keyword in URL, title, H1, etc) but I have been sending backlinks to the homepage, as these keywords represent the core of what we offer. See example below: car repair car repair london auto repair auto repair london I have been sending backlinks (with the correct anchor text of course) to the homepage, am I better off sending them to the specific pages? One more thing: the SEOMOZ report talks about cannibalisation of keywords, where for example the page optimised for "car repair" links to "Car repair london". I have links to the optimised pages in a footer at the bottom of every single page on the website, is this bad practice? (considering SEOMOZ talks about cannibalisation? Should I do something else instead (or eliminate the footer links altogether?) I would appreciate your expert advice.
